Job Summary
The Tax Staff will prepare US corporation, partnership and individual tax returns.
Salary Range and Benefits
Commensurate with experience, standard firm benefits
Hours Required
40 hrs + OT

Major Responsibilities & Duties
Prepare federal and state corporation, partnership and individual tax returns.
Prepare international informational tax returns.
Assist with tax planning and tax consulting projects.
Prepare tax research memo for clients with analysis and application of IRC sections and regulations.
Represent client in front of the IRS, including assisting in IRS and state tax audits.
Compile and analyze financial statements.
Perform monthly write-up services.
Write monthly articles regarding recent federal and state tax law changes.
Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements & Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following basic qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
0-3 years of professional experience, preferably in public accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel).
Solid accounting skills.
Basic understanding of federal & state income taxes.
Education and Licenses
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting or related field.
B or above in all accounting and accounting-related courses.
Satisfactory cumulative major GPA.
Advanced degree is preferred.
CPA certification (active) preferred or working toward if not already obtained.
