The IT Product Owner is responsible for the overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts for the CFS business unit and works in a highly collaborative, cross-functional Agile environment. It will establish and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations. This position requires extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies, tools, techniques, resource management practices, and change management techniques. This role is also technical, requiring a mixture of architectural knowledge, technical leadership, operational expertise in a cloud setting, as well as the ability to communicate plans, manage risks, and deliver to schedule.
Essential Job Functions: Product Owner for CFS business unit Develop the strategic plan between the future-state and current-state of the Manhattan Scale WMS and other applications in partnership with IT and Finance leadership Manage product backlog of enhancement requests and work within the team to develop and deliver new solutions within the application Lead technology activities in support of month and quarter-end financial processes Identify new features in quarterly upgrades to be assessed and implemented for Financials solution Partner with other application Product Owners to ensure consistency in solutions and adherence to best practices for architecture Deliver value to plan, communicating clearly, engaging product teams, third party partners, software engineers and subject matter experts across different parts of the organization Enable agile development best practices conformant to Hub Group standards Ensure integrity, reliability, performance and scale of technology platform Operate in a cloud environment, work towards continuous delivery, understand orchestration, and leverage it to guarantee uptime Lead the team in role modeling Dev Ops best practices Pair up with architects and tech leads to propose and drive design decisions Work with business leaders to identify business needs and develop those needs into project requests Assist IT management with project identification, requirements gathering, scope development, budget development and management, and project prioritization Identify and manage change and service requests Manage and escalate functional, quality, timeline, and all other project issues Coordinate project communication with all areas of IT and business Ensure all internal controls and policies are adhered to for projects and systems change management Ensure the technical performance of all solutions within the platform. Oversee the entire line life cycle from strategic planning to effective project management of tactical activities Regularly create service improvement plans - in terms of people, processes and technology - to improve a service Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time
Minimum Qualifications: Strong experience working with a warehouse management system preferably Manhattan Scale WMS.B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field 7 years of experience in the IT industry as a programmer, technician, engineer, or project/product manager 2 years of work experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban and supporting tools Proven success in the delivery of software development projects within either technology services or software product company Experience with Service Oriented Architecture in an enterprise environment Experience with monitoring and alerting best practices, leveraging industry standard tools Ability to work in a projects-based, team environment Proven analytical and problem solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities as well as flexibility to adapt to change with new systems and methods while working in a team environment This is a full-time, W2 position with Hub Group – We are NOT able to provide sponsorship at this time
Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 / year base salary + bonus eligibility This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however, may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand
