Certified Orthotist Prosthetist

Location: Rockford, IL, Job Type: Full-Time | On-site

Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including physical assessments and collaboration with physicians and healthcare professionals Design, fabricate, and fit custom prosthetic and orthotic devices per medical prescriptions Monitor, adjust, and modify devices to ensure proper fit, comfort, and functionality Educate patients and caregivers on device use, care, and maintenance Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, including evaluations and progress notes Ensure proper and ethical coding and billing practices in compliance with regulations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and rehabilitation specialists Maintain CEUs and certification with ABC/BOC in good standing Stay current with advancements in prosthetics and orthotics technology and techniques Assist fabrication staff and provide guidance to junior clinicians and technicians Ensure compliance with HIPAA, safety standards, and ABC/BOC professional guidelines Support financial performance expectations as discussed with management

Qualifications: Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) credentialed by ABC or BOCActive state licensure or ability to obtain licensure

Preferred: 2-3 years of experience in prosthetic and orthotic patient care Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, gait analysis, and kinesiology Solid understanding of Medicare criteria Experience with CAD/CAM and prosthetic/orthotic design software preferred

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics from a CAAHEP-accredited program Completion of an NCOPE-accredited residency program
