Experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Installer/Mechanic

Responsibilities: Read and interpret commercial mechanical/HVAC plans Lay out sheet-metal duct runs based on plans and field conditions Install rectangular sheet-metal ductwork Install spiral ductwork Install supply, return, exhaust and outside-air systems Install fittings, transitions, offsets, elbows and related components Determine field measurements and required fittings Install hangers and supports Install dampers, diffusers, grilles and registers Coordinate duct routes around actual field conditions Identify installation conflicts and communicate them before proceeding Direct installers or helpers when assigned Maintain clean, professional commercial installations

Qualifications: Commercial sheet-metal duct installation experience required Able to independently read mechanical plans Able to lay out sheet-metal ductwork from drawings Experienced installing rectangular sheet metal Spiral duct experience strongly preferred Strong field-measurement skills Able to identify fittings and transitions required in the field Able to work independently without another mechanic constantly directing the work Reliable transportation Dependable attendance Professional attitude We are looking for a true sheet-metal duct mechanic who understands commercial duct systems and can contribute immediately in the field.
