Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Fiberglass Technician with hands-on skills in fiberglass application and operation of a chopper gun or gel coat gun. The ideal candidate has strong technical ability, attention to detail, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. This role involves producing high-quality fiberglass components, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safe and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply fiberglass materials using a chopper gun or gel coat gun. Prepare molds, surfaces, and materials for fiberglass application. Mix resins, catalysts, and coatings according to specifications. Inspect finished products for quality, thickness, and consistency. Perform repairs, touch-ups, and refinishing as needed. Maintain tools, spray guns, and production equipment. Follow safety procedures and proper handling of chemicals and materials. Work with production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
Required:
Minimum 2 years of fiberglass experience. Experience operating a chopper gun or gel coat gun. Ability to read and follow production instructions. Strong attention to detail and quality control. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a manufacturing environment. Reliable transportation. Good attendance and work ethic. Bilingual Preferred Energetic
Preferred:
More than 2 years of fiberglass or composite manufacturing experience. Experience in marine, automotive, industrial, or custom fabrication environments.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, bend, and work with hands for extended periods. Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working around chemicals, resins, and fiberglass materials.
