Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Brick, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical With Telemetry. The Registered Nurse evaluates patients, assists physicians with patient care, and develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care. The role provides therapeutic nursing interventions, manages assigned patients, and supports evidence-based nursing practice. Job Details Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 p.m.7:00 a.m., 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications:
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience in a medical-surgical/telemetry unit within a major acute care setting New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multistate compact license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification Telemetry certification Continuing education unit (CEU) course covering stroke for 4 hours Strong medical-surgical/telemetry background Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information:
Provides patient assessment, nursing care, and therapeutic nursing interventions. Develops and coordinates individualized plans of care through initial and ongoing assessments. Documents care according to standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Supports evidence-based care standards and innovations in care delivery. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend or as needed. Holiday coverage is required. On-call shifts are not required. Navy scrubs are required. Assignment dates are 11/16/2026 through 02/13/2027.
