Commercial and IP Litigation Counsel

Location: Remote (United States)

Hours: 40 Hours / Week

Duration: 3 Months (October 2026 – January 2027)Our client is seeking an experienced Litigation Counsel to provide interim support to its in-house litigation team during a leave coverage. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with both law firm and in-house experience to manage a diverse commercial litigation portfolio, partner with business stakeholders, and work closely with outside counsel in a fast-paced, global technology environment.

What You'll Do: Manage commercial disputes involving customers, partners, and business integration matters. Provide support across commercial and intellectual property disputes Support an active patent litigation matter as it progresses toward trial. Coordinate strategy and day-to-day activities with outside counsel across multiple jurisdictions. Partner with Commercial Legal, Sales, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams to investigate issues, assess risk, and resolve disputes. Draft legal communications, manage investigations, prioritize incoming matters, and keep litigation workstreams moving with minimal oversight. Provide practical, business-focused legal guidance while balancing legal and commercial risk.

What You'll Bring: 7+ years of litigation experience with a strong U.S. commercial litigation background. Experience at both a law firm and an in-house legal department, preferably supporting an enterprise software or technology company. Experience managing outside counsel and collaborating across multiple stakeholders. Excellent judgment, communication, and project management skills. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
