Job Description We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused team member to join our production team as a Production Packager (2nd Shift). This role is responsible for safely moving materials, supporting production flow, and preparing shipments while maintaining a strong focus on safety, organization, and efficiency.
Schedule: Regular Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:45 pm - 9:45 pmKey Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a JIB crane using a handheld remote
- Package finished product efficiently and securely
- Stage orders for upcoming shipments
- Supply production machines with coils to maintain workflow
- Inspect materials during handling to identify and report any defects
- Follow all safety protocols and stop work if unsafe conditions arise
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and shipping deadlines
- Assist with training new employees as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- JIB crane experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Dependable with a strong attendance record
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely operate industrial equipment
- Impact of the Position:
- This role is critical to maintaining efficient production flow and ensuring materials are handled safely and accurately. Errors or delays can impact shipping timelines, production efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
