Lauder Institute Alumni Association (LIAA) ~60-80 hours/month | U.S. Based Remote/Possible Hybrid Work | Mission-Driven NonprofitLIAA is seeking an energetic part-time Head of Operations. The ideal candidate is strategicallyminded, tech savvy, and has a successful track record of planning and executing projects withlimited direction. Project management skills are a must. Reporting to the Board President, this isthe operational backbone of LIAA—driving programs, engagement, administration, andgovernance in alignment with our mission. (This is a 1099 independent contractor role).Program Development & Execution – 45% of role● Leads alumni programming and engagement initiatives in accordance with LIAA’s goalsand guidelines and in collaboration with LIAA Board, committees and volunteers.● Engages volunteers (Class Captains, Lauder Regional Ambassadors) and Lauderstakeholders to develop scalable initiatives and events (e.g., webinars, affinity groups, in-person events).● Acts as the point of contact for LIAA programming events by alumni, the Institute, Lauder/Wharton External Affairs (‘EA”), Class Captains, Lauder Regional Ambassadors. Marketing & Engagement – 20% of role Enhances LIAA’s image to expand interest and support of LIAA’s Mission and Goals.● Develops plan and coordinates all marketing: communications, website, newsletters, announcements, and social media.● Proactively updates LIAA website, Linked In, Whats App and other marketing channels todrive engagement. Operations/Admin/Oversight of Consultant(s) – 15% of role● Fosters a positive and productive LIAA environment, including alumni community, volunteers, and Board members.● Oversees the day-to-day operations & programming execution: calendars, databases, committee lists, and tech tools.● Supervises consultants, manages deliverables, and optimizes systems for efficiencythrough strong tech-savvy skillsets.● Actively engages in assessing whether better technology databases and systems exist toimprove operations and reduce costs Financial Stewardship – 10% of role● Actively supports the Treasurer and Finance Committee with budget tracking, contractreview, and risk management and behaves in a financially responsible manner.● Collaborates on Strategic, Operating and Financial plans in conjunction with the Board. Board Relations/Governance/Professionalization/Fundraising – 10% of role● Collaborates with & supports Board initiatives and strategic direction.● Attends Board meetings and provides monthly Board updates.● Supports Board Fund Raising Chair. Qualifications & Skills● U.S. based (ideally East Coast) with the ability to legally work in the U.S.● Minimum Bachelor’s degree required; nonprofit or alumni association experience andmindset strongly preferred.● Resourceful, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven with a track record of supportingmission-driven organizations.● Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage diplomatically withalumni, volunteers, and institutional partners.● Highly organized with proven ability to independently manage multiple projects / deadlines.● Strong proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and association managementsystems (e.g. Wild Apricot).● Strong command of Google Drive’s features, functionalities, and tools.● Tech savvy with ability to troubleshoot and adapt quickly.● Does not need to be a member of the Lauder Institute community.
