Staff Electrical Engineering Technician - Substation- ACADE

Staff Electrical Engineering Technician Join an EPC firm supporting projects in the Distributed Infrastructure market sector. We are seeking a Staff Electrical Engineering Technician to support the design and delivery of electrical substation projects. This individual will work alongside engineering and design teams to develop electrical design packages, schematics, and technical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE) and related design tools. The ideal candidate has experience in the substation industry and can independently support drafting and design efforts. This position develops the electrical diagrams and schematics that tell the substation equipment how to operate. Deliverables include: One-Line Diagrams, AC Schematics, DC Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, Relay Drawings, Panel Layouts, and Protection & Control Packages. They are designing how equipment is wired and controlled, Protection systems, Relay logic, and Control house and panel drawings.

Develop and maintain design documentation using AutoCAD Electrical and related CAD tools. Review design inputs and ensure drawings meet project requirements, industry standards, and applicable codes. Perform basic design calculations, material takeoffs, and project documentation updates. Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project teams to support design development and execution. Conduct quality reviews of deliverables and ensure accuracy and consistency across project documentation. Provide technical guidance to junior designers and assist with reviewing the work of others as needed.
