Put your skills to work as an Assistant Manager at Fairfax Theatre and become an important part of our team! We are looking for an Assistant Manager who is passionate about customer service, team development, and creating a positive experience for both our guests and employees. In this role, you will assist with hiring and training team members, ensure company policies and procedures are followed, help resolve customer concerns, lead and support the team, create team schedules, and assist the General Manager with day-to-day operations. The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in the day-to-day operation of the theater, helping ensure every guest has an exceptional movie-going experience. This role assists with leading and developing team members, overseeing daily operations, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring company policies and procedures are followed. The Assistant Manager helps drive operational success by providing excellent guest service, resolving concerns, supporting staffing and training efforts, and serving as the manager on duty when needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Prior experience as a senior staff member, shift lead, or assistant manager preferred. Consistent, verifiable work history required. Must complete Responsible Beverage Server training and obtain any legally required state or local alcohol server certification (e.g., California RBS or Idaho equivalent) prior to serving alcohol, and obtain a Food Handler Certification where required by state or local jurisdiction. Ability to communicate with all ages, genders, and personalities. Ability to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend English. Listens effectively, responds clearly and directly, and can explain information to others. Performs calculations with speed and accuracy and identifies and corrects errors, including cash handling and inventory counts. Identifies problems, gathers relevant information, and notes possible causes. Evaluates information, recognizes alternatives, and implements solutions within the scope of this role's authority. Performs effectively under pressure and escalates appropriately when a matter exceeds that scope. Proficient in the use of technology, including point-of-sale, scheduling, and basic office systems (e.g., email, word processing, Paylocity or similar).Interfaces effectively with guests, the public, and co-workers, and exhibits sensitivity to the feelings of others. Establishes goals, budgets time, and sets priorities to achieve objectives. Sets a standard of professionalism for others to follow and models leadership traits for staff.
