With a strong heritage in sensor technology and an international engineering and commercial footprint, the business is focused on delivering high-performance solutions across environmental monitoring, water and gas flow, battery management and other emerging applications. The company is looking for a Regional Sales Manager – AMEC to own revenue growth and commercial development across the Americas, with responsibility for direct customer accounts, representatives and distribution partners. This is a highly autonomous regional sales role combining strategic account management, technical selling, channel development and new business growth. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in sensors, electronics, automation or industrial technology and be comfortable engaging with engineers, procurement teams, executives and channel partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the regional sales strategy across the Americas, aligned with global commercial objectives and focused on above-market growth.
Identify priority markets, strategic accounts and new growth opportunities across the region.
Own regional revenue targets, sales forecasts and pipeline management.
Drive order intake, revenue growth and margin performance while monitoring key commercial KPIs.
Build and maintain senior-level relationships with strategic customers, distributors, representatives and other commercial partners.
Lead negotiations for major contracts, pricing agreements and framework agreements.
Act as the primary escalation point for strategic customer and partner issues.
Develop and strengthen relationships with sales representatives and distributors to maximize regional coverage and performance.
Conduct regular business reviews, product training and application sessions with channel partners.
Provide technical and commercial support to customers and channel partners, ensuring products are effectively positioned within target applications.
Identify and develop new distribution channels, strategic partners and potential business models.
Analyze regional market trends, competitive activity and customer requirements to identify opportunities for growth.
Work closely with Marketing and Product Management on product positioning, market development and go-to-market initiatives.
Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Engineering to ensure effective order execution and customer satisfaction.
Provide structured market and demand insights to support forecasting, product portfolio and business planning.
Ensure sales activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
Travel frequently throughout the assigned region to meet customers, partners and prospects.
Key Qualifications:
Several years of B2B sales experience within sensors, electronics, automation, industrial technology or a closely related technical market.
Proven success managing complex, technically driven sales cycles as an individual contributor.
Demonstrated experience selling through representatives and distributors is required.
Experience managing direct customer relationships alongside indirect sales channels.
Strong understanding of sensor technologies and their applications, ideally including areas such as humidity, gas, ultrasonic, flow or environmental sensing.
Ability to engage credibly with engineers, technical teams, procurement professionals and senior business leaders.
Strong commercial and negotiation skills, including experience with pricing, contracts and framework agreements.
Experience developing and managing international customer and channel relationships.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of ownership, self-motivation and commercial drive.
Structured and resilient approach, with the ability to operate independently across a geographically diverse territory.
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal engineering, product, operations and commercial teams.
Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Business or a related discipline with strong technical exposure.
Fluency in English.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the AMEC region.
