As the first hire in the Risk Management Unit, the full-time Risk Manager - New York Licensed will administer and enhance the FCM's Risk Management Program, establish risk limits, conduct stress testing, and oversee margin and liquidation risk in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities: Develop and maintain the FCM's Risk Management Program in compliance with CFTC Regulation 1.11, including risk appetite and escalation paths Set and monitor pre-trade and intraday limits for various risk exposures, escalating breaches to senior management Run stress tests and scenario analyses while monitoring liquidity, capital, and counterparty exposures
Required qualifications: 4-8 years of experience in market, credit, or margin risk at an FCM, clearing firm, or trading firm Strong knowledge of futures and derivatives margining, exposure measurement, and liquidation practices Hands-on experience with limits, stress testing, and risk reporting to senior management Proficiency in quantitative data analysis using Python, SQL, or advanced Excel Clean regulatory record with no NFA or FINRA disciplinary history
