Principal Responsibilities: Aligns, and fits together fabricated plates, structural shapes, and weldments preparatory to assembly - structural fabricated products.

Duties: Individual must maintain their certification stamps Must possess the ability to work to close tolerances without assistance. Must be able to work to standards within operations and have the ability to make shop aids to increase production standard, if needed Must be able to build ducts without assistance Must be capable of training other employees Must be responsible for quality of workmanship Must be able and willing to perform all duties in fitting disciplines Prepare and fit both compound and complex duct assemblies Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Performs other routine duties Must be certified in accordance with 10QP040 Record SPC data in accordance with 10QP063 Must be able to read and understand all manufacturing routings and specifications Follow operating instructions and guidelines set by the QA Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Education/ Experience High School Degree or general education degree (GED) plus 5 -7 years exposure in metal fitting, Must past a written and practical test. Test will be based on requirements contained within this job description.

Knowledge Skills and abilities: Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as Blueprints, manufacturing planning, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate in the English language. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Certification stamps in fitting a must. Essential Physical/ Mental Abilities Required Employee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms, required to walk and sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and talk or hear, and climb and dismount both stairs and platforms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the individual occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the individual may be required to wear safety protection gear.
