This opportunity supports all seven South Jersey counties: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem. As a DAT volunteer, you'll help people facing emergencies by providing: Immediate resources (food, clothing, temporary lodging) Emotional support and reassurance Assistance replacing critical items Guidanceto help families begin their recovery journeyDAT volunteers work as part of a team, responding to local home fires and other emergencies and coordinating closely with Red Cross leadership to ensure families receive the right resources. Volunteers also complete online trainings and take on-call shifts to support neighbors in need. Time Commitment5–10 hrs/week | On‐call shifts | Flexible schedule Where You'll Serve Although this role is posted for all of North Jersey, volunteers are assigned to a local Disaster Action Team in the county where they live.
