Wastewater Treatment Plant Field Operator

Job Description Responsibilities: Conduct sampling and testing of wastewater and document results. Perform routine equipment/system checks to ensure proper operation of pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment, and other treatment equipment. Record operational data and maintain accurate logs. Monitor, check, and adjust controls and equipment as needed; assist with troubleshooting and repairs. Perform routine laboratory analysis and interpret results using mathematical calculations. Oversee chemical deliveries/off-loading and support chemical inventory tracking. Maintain equipment and work areas in clean, safe, and operable condition. Assist with development and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs).Follow all safety, environmental, and work instruction requirements; perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED.Ability to work a rotating shift schedule (12-hour shifts).Valid driver's license and required insurance. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations for lab/operational data. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).Team-oriented and able to follow procedures and safety/environmental rules. Wastewater treatment systems operator certification (preferred).Prior experience in wastewater treatment operations (preferred).Knowledge of wastewater regulatory programs. Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and systems. General understanding of plant equipment and functionality.
