Role Description:
This full-time, on-site Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist role is based in Phoenix, AZ and supports the financial and administrative operations of Mica Commercial Roofing. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate bookkeeping records, preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial statement preparation. The role also manages payroll processing, tracks time and attendance, and ensures compliance with relevant payroll regulations and company policies. The Bookkeeper / Payroll Specialist collaborates with management to support budgeting, expense tracking, and vendor payments, and helps maintain organized financial files and documentation. This position requires consistent on-site presence to coordinate with office staff and operational teams.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong bookkeeping and journal entry skills, including account reconciliation and general ledger maintenance. Candidates should possess experience with financial statements and basic finance principles to support reporting and analysis. Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and related systems used for payroll and financial recordkeeping. Candidates should possess accurate data entry, timekeeping, and payroll processing skills, with attention to regulatory compliance. Previous experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting support, preferably within construction or commercial services, is beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in accounting, finance, or payroll is a plus.
