Role Description: The Senior Tax Accountant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Cleveland, OH, with flexibility for some work from home. In this role, the team member will manage and review individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing tax research, assisting with tax planning strategies, preparing and reviewing workpapers, and supporting tax provision calculations. The Senior Tax Accountant will collaborate with engagement teams, communicate with clients regarding tax matters, and help identify opportunities to improve processes and client service. This role also involves mentoring less experienced staff and contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.
Qualifications: Technical skills, including Tax Review and Tax Preparation Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA license or CPA eligibility strongly preferred. Several years of progressive experience in public accounting with a focus on tax. Proficiency with tax software (CCH preferred), and strong Excel skills. Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and deadlines. Communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements, prioritize workload, and work independently in a hybrid environment.
