Senior Associate Attorney

Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of construction-site injury and general liability matters from intake through resolution Defend owners, general contractors and subcontractors in claims under Labor Law §§ 200, 240(1) and 241(6)Draft pleadings, discovery demands and responses, and dispositive motions, including summary judgment motions on Labor Law liability Take and defend depositions, and work with experts on liability and damages Handle indemnification, contribution and risk-transfer issues, including tenders and contractual indemnity claims Attend court conferences and mediations, and prepare cases for trial Report regularly to carriers and clients with case evaluations and recommendations

Qualifications: J.D. and admission to the New York State Bar 5+ years of litigation experience in New York personal injury defense Experience with Labor Law §§ 200, 240(1) and 241(6) strongly preferred General liability or insurance defense background, ideally including carrier-facing reporting Strong writing and motion practice skills Able to manage a caseload independently in a largely remote setting
