Vehicle Transport Technician IISnelling Staffing is recruiting for a Vehicle Transport Technician II for a local government entity. This is a part-time position for dependable individuals with a strong driving record and the ability to safely transport vehicles and equipment between multiple locations. The pay rate is $22-$24/hr. The ideal candidate will prioritize safety, demonstrate professionalism, and possess the skills necessary to operate a variety of vehicles, including trucks and trailers.
Responsibilities:
  • Transport vehicles, trucks, and trailers between facilities and vendor locations as directed
  • Ensure safe, timely, and professional delivery of vehicles
  • Conduct basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and vehicle mileage
  • Follow all applicable safety regulations and operating procedures
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding schedules and transportation needs
  • Represent the organization professionally while operating vehicles and interacting with vendors
Qualifications:
  • RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Texas Driver's License
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles, including trucks and trailers
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety and safe driving practices
  • License Requirements
  • Positions are available for drivers holding either:
  • Class B Exempt Driver's License
  • Class C Driver's License
  • Previous experience transporting vehicles, trucks, or equipment is preferred
  • ScheduleThis is a part-time position working a rotating schedule:
  • Week 1: Three days per weekWeek 2: Two days per weekWeek 3: Three days per week
