The Position:
As their Controls SCADA Engineer, you’ll support the design, development, integration, commissioning, and ongoing support of SCADA and controls systems for industrial material-handling and automation projects. This role will work closely with controls engineering and project teams to develop reliable visualization and automation solutions, troubleshoot complex system issues, and support projects throughout the design-to-production lifecycle.
Primary responsibilities include:
Design and deliver SCADA, HMI, visualization, and PLC-based control solutions for industrial automation and material-handling systems.
Troubleshoot and optimize control systems, software, connectivity, Linux environments, and virtual machine infrastructure to ensure reliable system performance.
Lead system testing and deployment through emulation, commissioning, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance of installed systems.
Collaborate across teams to deliver projects from design through production, while providing technical guidance, training, and knowledge sharing to colleagues and customers.
Drive technical excellence through clear documentation, system standards, and responsive customer support, with travel to domestic and international project sites as required.
Qualifications and Candidate Background
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years of total work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience in Controls Engineering, SCADA, HMI, PLC programming, or industrial automation.
- Experience in material handling, industrial automation, warehouse automation, or a related environment is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and project teams and provide technical guidance when needed.
Location:
This role offers a remote position with up to 70% travel requirement within Grand Rapids, MI.Your information will not be shared with any outside parties without your prior consent.
