Senior Network Engineer

Requirements: We require an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access. We require a CI polygraph, administered by the customer once onsite. We require at least six years of experience designing, developing, and implementing network solutions. We require demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex LAN issues and resolving WAN challenges, including support for cost-effective, high-performance IP and LAN/WAN solutions. We require extensive hands-on experience with Cisco routing platforms, such as Aggregation Services Routers (ASRs).We require deep knowledge of routing protocols and technologies, including BGP, EIGRP, DMVPN, and GRE.We require strong knowledge of Layer 2 technologies, including STP, MST, and VLANs. We require experience providing Tier 3 support and issue resolution. We require experience with network design and traffic engineering. We require experience delivering senior-level engineering support. We require experience with TACLANE systems. We require a bachelors degree in a relevant field, or at least two years of relevant experience in lieu of education.

Responsibilities: We gather user network requirements through multiple methods and produce technical documentation, system requirements documents, system security requirements documents, and system test plans. We install, maintain, and evaluate network and communications systems. We troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues involving multiple protocols, topologies, hardware platforms, and related technologies. We conduct network architecture design, feasibility analyses, and cost studies. We apply our knowledge of internetworking, computer systems, routers, switches, firewalls, and peripherals to refine current designs and collaborate on new network architectures. We use our technical and business understanding to improve processes and procedures for deploying and sustaining network infrastructure. We work both independently and collaboratively to strengthen network solutions and support ongoing service improvements.
