Material Handler The NOV Fiber Glass Systems facility in San Antonio, TX, is currently hiring contingent Material Handlers for approximately two months. The Material Handler will support the manufacturing process through the movement of materials around the shop floor/yard and preparing for shipment to customers while maintaining all Quality and Safety measures.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Rigger - using hand signals
  • Ensure load is correctly tied down to prevent damage and load is safe for transport
  • Use pneumatic nail gun safely to build dunnage
  • Capable of packing orders and confirming counts accurately
  • Perform handwritten paper transactions and present them to the shipping office
  • Pull finished goods from inventory locations
  • Wear appropriate PPE in required areas
  • Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and proceduresComply with all HSE policies, guidelines and proceduresComply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to work the day shift from 7:00 am - 3:30 pmAbility to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Employee will be regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear
  • Standing, walking, Bending/Stooping, and pushing/pulling up to 10 hours daily
  • Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly
  • Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 10 hours daily
