Serving as a legal advisor embedded across the business, the remote Counsel, Commercial and Strategic will manage legal and regulatory inquiries, focusing 30% of their time on commercial and vendor agreements while collaborating with various departments to align legal strategy with business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Advise on diverse legal and regulatory matters, including data privacy and dispute resolution
Engage with departmental leadership to align legal strategy with commercial objectives and streamline workflows
Draft, review, and negotiate technology agreements and vendor arrangements
Required qualifications:
J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
4+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably with in-house experience in consumer financial services or fintech
Proven experience structuring and negotiating commercial agreements and technology contracts
Strong desire to engage with new domain areas such as AI and privacy
Ability to evaluate risk thoughtfully while supporting business potential
