Lease Accountant

Key Responsibilities: Lease Accounting & Reporting Review and analyze lease agreements (real estate, equipment, etc.)Determine proper lease classification and accounting treatment Calculate and record: Lease liabilities Right-of-use (ROU) assets Amortization schedules and interest expense Journal Entries & Close Process Prepare monthly lease-related journal entries (rent expense, amortization, interest)Support month-end and quarter-end close activities Ensure all lease transactions are recorded accurately and timely Reconciliations & Controls Reconcile lease-related GL accounts (ROU assets, lease liabilities, prepaid rent, deposits)Maintain accurate lease subledger and supporting schedules Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements Lease Portfolio Management Maintain lease database and ensure data accuracy Track lease modifications, renewals, and terminations Collaborate with Real Estate, Legal, Procurement, and AP teams to gather lease information Financial Analysis & Support Support budgeting and forecasting for lease-related expenses Provide variance analysis and reporting insights

Compensation: A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 - 90,000 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
