Government Audit Director

Duties: Direct various audit and assurance projects for government entities, such as municipalities, counties, special districts, and charter schools. Act as the main point of contact among clients, engagement teams, and firm leadership. Oversee engagement planning, staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and completion. Assess audit workpapers, reports, and financial statements to ensure quality and adherence to regulations. Guide and nurture staff members, offering technical support and leadership. Cultivate and uphold strong client connections. Participate in business expansion initiatives to grow the firm's Government and Not-for-Profit practice.

Requirements: Must hold a CPA license. Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. At least 10 years of experience in public accounting, with leadership experience at the Senior Manager level or higher. Extensive background in auditing government entities. Thorough understanding of Yellow Book (GAGAS), GAAS, and Uniform Guidance. Preferably have experience with Single Audits and Not-for-Profit organizations. Demonstrated capability in managing client relations and contributing to business growth.
