As a GCP- Google Cloud Platform Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the Google Cloud Platform architecture supporting our OSS/BSS platform. This includes developing and optimizing cloud solutions that support operations, billing, customer management, and network management functions. Your expertise in GCP, networking, and cloud security will be critical to ensuring the high availability and performance of our OSS/BSS platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES: GCP Architecture & OSS/BSS Platform Management Design and deploy GCP infrastructure to support the specific needs of OSS/BSS systems. Optimize cloud resources for scalability and performance to handle high transaction volumes and data processing. Work closely with the OSS/BSS teams to ensure seamless integration of tools, applications, and services within the platform. Infrastructure Automation & Integration Develop automation scripts and pipelines for streamlined management and scaling of OSS/BSS infrastructure. Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying and updating OSS/BSS components on GCP. Enable efficient data flows between OSS/BSS applications and core networking systems. Network Configuration & Performance Tuning Configure and maintain cloud network topologies (such as VPCs and VPNs) for secure, reliable connectivity across OSS/BSS services. Collaborate with network engineers to ensure that cloud and on-premise systems communicate effectively. Monitor and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues within the OSS/BSS platform. Cloud Security & Compliance for OSS/BSS Implement GCP security best practices to protect sensitive customer, billing, and operational data. Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards for data handling and security specific to OSS/BSS operations. Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and OSS/BSS platform remediation. Monitoring & Incident Response Set up monitoring solutions to monitor OSS/BSS infrastructure and detect issues proactively. Manage incident response processes for OSS/BSS services, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity. Develop disaster recovery and backup solutions tailored to OSS/BSS applications and databases. Documentation & Training Document GCP architecture, configurations, and standard operating procedures for OSS/BSS support. Provide training and knowledge sharing with internal teams to ensure understanding and continuity in cloud operations. Stay current with GCP advancements and implement relevant OSS/BSS platform improvements. EducationEducation Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Network Engineer certification is preferred. Skills, Knowledge, & AbilitiesProficiency in GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), VPC, Cloud Functions, and IAM. Strong understanding of OSS/BSS workflows, data processing, and transaction management. Proven experience with Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for managing cloud resources. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as LogicMonitor or similar platforms. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills focused on cloud infrastructure optimization. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment, with a strong focus on reliability and performance. Physical & Operational RequirementsAbility to lift and raise objects up to 25 lbs. Ability to remain stationary for extended periods. Strong ability to communicate information clearly and effectively. Ability to operate a computer and standard office equipment.
