Senior Sales Associate

Music & Arts seeks a PT Senior Sales Associate to lead customer experience in our student-focused retail store. You will guide families, students, and educators in selecting band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons while modeling top-tier customer service and sales performance. Responsibilities include driving sales, enrolling students in lessons and rental programs, maintaining store merchandising and inventory, processing POS transactions accurately, and supporting events and school partnerships. Ideal candidates have strong retail sales experience, music knowledge, and a passion for music education. Welcome and assist customers, students, and educators with instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons Drive sales and meet store goals through consultative selling and add-on recommendations Enroll customers in lesson and rental programs and explain service options clearly Operate POS system accurately, handle cash, and process returns and exchanges Maintain merchandising standards, signage, and product displays Support inventory processes including stocking, tagging, and cycle counts Serve as a senior resource on the sales floor, modeling best practices for associates Assist with in-store events and support local school and community outreach Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally Collaborate with store and lesson staff to support a student-focused, inclusive culture Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling Product merchandising Inventory management Music product knowledge Lesson and rental program enrollment Communication skills Basic computer skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Background in music performance or education preferred Retail or point-of-sale training a plus
