IT Security Analyst II

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 2 days onsite)

Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential for Full-Time Conversion)

Pay Rate: $70-73/hr Benefits: 401K, PTO, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst II to support enterprise-wide cybersecurity initiatives and provide security guidance for business and technology projects. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to assess risks, recommend security controls, support cloud security initiatives, and help ensure compliance with organizational security standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct security risk and threat assessments for infrastructure and application projects. Provide security consultation and guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Review and recommend security controls for cloud and on-premise environments. Collaborate with project teams, architects, and IT leadership to drive security adoption. Evaluate vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies. Support security architecture discussions and security tooling initiatives. Assist with the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures. Contribute to incident investigations and corrective action planning. Monitor emerging security threats, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.7+ years of information security or cybersecurity experience. Experience performing security risk assessments and threat analysis. Knowledge of security controls, network security, encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention technologies. Experience supporting cloud security initiatives (Azure, AWS, or GCP).Strong understanding of security policies, standards, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications: CISSP, CCSP, Security+, Network+, PMP, or similar certifications. Experience in security consulting or advisory roles. Insurance or other highly regulated industry experience. Exposure to security architecture reviews and enterprise security programs. Why Consider This Opportunity?
