Position Summary: Park Monitor is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and team members by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. Primary Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To The Following:

Welcome guests and provide helpful, professional assistance throughout the property
Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, team members, management, and emergency personnel when appropriate
Follow the Emergency Action Plan and immediately notify the appropriate supervisor or emergency agency when required
Establish effective, professional, and efficient radio communication with all SMPA Team Members
Establish presence by securing premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry
Ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises
Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures
Secure all exits, doors, and windows after close of operations
Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner
Follow all company service, safety, and operating standards
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
Do not take action beyond assigned authority or training; request assistance when an incident requires management, police, fire, or EMS support
Performs other duties assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications:

Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) and regular attendance necessary
Must be at least 21 years of age
Surveillance and reporting experience preferred
Ability to communicate clearly
Ability to deal with uncertain situations, possess good judgment and think objectively
Must be dependable and have emotional control
One-year experience as a Security Guard/Officer or similar role preferred
First Aid/CPR/AED Certification is preferred
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required

Working Conditions And Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high
May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
May be required to work outside in cold and/or warm temperatures
Facility has intermittent noise
