Overview:
A law firm seeks a Consumer Finance Associate to join its Financial Regulatory practice in Jacksonville, FL. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of relevant experience counseling financial institutions and technology providers on federal and state financial laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Counsel banks, credit unions, and Fin Techs on financial laws.
Advise on compliance with federal and state regulations.
Conduct financial regulatory and state licensing analyses.
Draft and negotiate contracts and lending documents.
Assist with regulatory enforcement investigations and actions.
Qualifications:
3-4 years of relevant experience in financial regulatory practice.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to client service and effective teamwork.
Strong academic credentials required.
Education: JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active member in good standing of the Bar where admitted; Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located.
Skills Experience with financial regulatory and state licensing analyses.
Ability to interpret regulations and draft legal documents.
Experience advising on compliance with financial regulations.
