We raise capital via EB-5 offerings and deploy it as construction loans to U.S. real estate developers. We have placed capital on behalf of more than 500 investors and maintain a 100% approval record on investor petitions at the final stage of the immigration process. We are a partner-led firm with a team that spans United States, China, Taiwan and Vietnam. The successful candidate for this role will fill a critical seat on our leadership team.
The Role:
The Director of Fund Operations owns the operational infrastructure of our funds: loan servicing and portfolio reporting, construction draw administration, investor operations, and execution of our compliance program. The role reports to the Managing Partner and works closely with both partners, our Head of Finance, and a bench of external professionals. This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of its function and two direct reports at the outset. The successful candidate will formalize existing processes, identify and fill gaps, and grow the team as the portfolio expands.
Key responsibilities:
Loan servicing and portfolio reporting Interest billing, collection and payment tracking across the loan portfolio Borrower reporting requirements and covenant compliance monitoring Risk rating and watchlist review, with escalation to the partners Payoff processing and collateral release coordination Establishing documented, repeatable cycles for all of the above Construction draw administration Intake and completeness review of borrower draw packages Coordination with the independent construction monitor and review of inspection reports Lien waiver, title endorsement and insurance certificate tracking Budget, change order and contingency analysis Draw recommendations to the Managing Partner, who holds approval authority Investor operations and reporting Subscription intake, investor onboarding, identity and source-of-funds documentation Escrow coordination and capital account maintenance Quarterly investor statements, project updates and distribution processing Evidence packages supporting investor immigration petitions, including job creation tracking and documentation Compliance program execution Filing calendar management and regulatory deadline tracking File structure, checklists, evidence templates and records retention Day-to-day coordination with our outside compliance consultant Execution under the Managing Partner, who holds compliance authority and certifies all filings Transaction coordination — developing over time Project-level regulatory filings required before capital can be raised for a new transaction Coordination of immigration counsel, economists, sponsor business plans and offering document production to a filing deadline Loan closing coordination and closing binder management
Qualifications:
Prior EB-5 experience is not required. We welcome candidates from the following backgrounds: Loan servicing, asset management or fund administration at a real estate debt fund, bridge lender or private credit manager — the closest match to our immediate priorities Private fund operations at a real estate or credit manager, including subscriptions, capital accounts, investor reporting and fund administrator oversight Construction lending at a bank or debt fund, with draw administration and third-party monitor experienceEB-5 regional centers or EB-5 fund administrators, seeking broader portfolio and transaction exposureEB-5 immigration law firms — senior case managers or paralegals with investor petition pipeline experience, looking to move to the principal side
Required:
Demonstrated ownership of a recurring operational cycle, with a record of improving its reliability Experience operating as the sole owner of a function, without direct process supervision Strong written communication; this role produces documents reviewed by regulators, auditors and investors' counsel Rigorous attention to deadlines and documentation, in a context where errors carry consequences for investors' immigration outcomes Ability to hold counterparties to documentation and reporting requirements Position details
Location:
Remote within the United States, or hybrid for candidates in the New York City area. Relocation is not required.
Travel: Occasional, for project sites, industry conferences and team meetings.
Compensation:
$160,000 – $190,000 base salary depending on experience, Health insurance, 401(k) and paid time off.
