Key Responsibilities:
Employment Defense: Litigate employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and FLSA wage and hour claims in state/federal court. Restrictive Covenants & IP: Handle disputes involving non-competes, non-solicitation, confidentiality, and trade secrets. Strategic Client Counseling: Advise corporate executives and HR leadership directly on risk mitigation and pre-litigation strategy. Stand-Up Experience: Draft dispositive motions, lead discovery, take/defend depositions, and represent clients in court and arbitrations (AAA, JAMS, FINRA).Agency Representation: Appear before the EEOC, DOL, OSHA, and state commissions.
Qualifications
Experience:
3–5 years of dedicated L&E experience in a law firm setting. Licensure: Active U.S. state bar license in good standing. Out-of-state candidates must be willing/eligible to obtain NC licensure within 1 year (fully firm-funded).
Skills:
Excellent legal drafting skills with the confidence to run core litigation independently.
