Build Your Career While Traveling Nationwide
If you enjoy hands-on work, solving problems, and seeing new places, this may be the opportunity you have been looking for. Prime Connected is hiring a Traveling Low Voltage Technician to support technology installations at customer locations throughout the United States.
This is a nationwide travel position based from your home location. Technicians typically travel 95-100% of the time and work alongside an experienced team installing structured cabling and low voltage technology in healthcare environments.
About Prime Connected
For more than 25 years, Prime Connected has provided low voltage installation and implementation services across the country. Our work supports enterprise patient monitoring systems, nurse call technology, healthcare communication systems, and emerging artificial intelligence solutions.
The work our technicians perform directly supports healthcare professionals and the patients they serve. It is meaningful, specialized work that allows you to build valuable technical experience while working in different locations across the country.
What You’ll Do:
As a Traveling Low Voltage Technician, you will install and support structured cabling systems at active customer sites. Your responsibilities will include pulling, routing, terminating, labeling, and testing category cable and fiber-optic cabling. You may also assist with pathways, telecommunications spaces, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and other low voltage project needs.
Every project is different, so successful technicians must be willing to learn, follow established installation standards, adapt to changing site conditions, and work collaboratively with their crew. Because these projects take place in healthcare facilities, professionalism, organization, and attention to detail are essential.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for dependable technicians who are comfortable with frequent travel and want to develop a specialized career in the low voltage industry. The right person is service-minded, communicates well, approaches problems logically, and can manage multiple responsibilities without losing sight of the details.
Previous experience with structured cabling, category cable, fiber optics, or other low voltage systems is strongly preferred. Candidates should also be open to learning all parts of a structured cabling system, including pathways, spaces, cable installation, terminations, labeling, testing, and documentation.
Position Requirements:
This position requires the ability to travel nationwide approximately 95-100% of the time. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, be able to read, write, and understand English, and be able to accurately distinguish colors used in cabling and wiring.
Because our technicians work in hospital and healthcare environments, employees must also be able to satisfy customer-specific health, immunization, background, credentialing, and site-access requirements.
Benefits: Prime Connected offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
Health savings account
Company-paid life insurance
401(k) with company matching
Paid time off
Tuition reimbursement
