The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting the accounting department, as well as other clerical duties. He/she will assist other branch personnel, including key managers, in various administrative roles. The hourly range for this position is $23.00-$26.00 depending on experience. This is an in-person position; remote work is not available.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Clerical tasks such as sorting and sending mail, maintaining offsite storage records, 1099 filing (saving PDFs), and welcoming visitors to office
  • Complete end of month company credit card and branch checking statement review.
  • Daily review and approval of company credit card transactions (reviewing coding, supporting documentation, adherence to policy).Daily positive pay review.
  • Netvendor compliance monitoring.
  • Review CNA Surety invoices prior to payment, and payments prior to mailing
  • Track upcoming DBA and license expirations and send monthly reminders to person responsible.
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED; and/or one to two years related experience and/or training is preferred
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft office suite applications, including outlook, word and excel
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Puts forth a courteous, friendly, helpful attitude always when receiving office visitors, answering the phones, or dealing with other associates
  • Willing to pass a post-offer drug screen test and background check
  • This position will remain open until filled.
