About the Role: The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel for Real Estate to join their team. This pivotal role involves serving as a strategic legal advisor across a range of real estate activities, including transactions, property operations, leasing, and asset management. The successful candidate will be the primary legal partner to various teams, providing practical counsel on a wide array of matters such as tenant issues, vendor relationships, and risk management initiatives. Responsibilities also include drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related agreements, supporting real estate initiatives, managing due diligence, and assisting with dispute resolution and litigation. Applicants for the Senior Counsel, Real Estate position at the company should have a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school, active bar membership, and approximately 5 to 7 years of commercial real estate legal experience. The role requires a strong background in supporting real estate operations, leasing, acquisitions, and asset management, as well as the ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives. Experience with institutional landlords, public companies, REITs, or complex real estate portfolios is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have excellent drafting, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills, and be adept at partnering with business stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
