Senior Electrical Engineer

Key responsibilities include: Lead the design of electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, communications, control, and related building systems. Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports. Perform electrical studies including load calculations, fault current analysis, arc flash studies, and system evaluations. Review and seal engineering documents as required. Coordinate closely with mechanical, civil, structural, and process engineering teams. Support construction administration activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, and field observations. Participate in proposal development, budgeting, and client meetings. Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers. What You'll Need to Succeed Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey or ability to obtain through reciprocity.7+ years of electrical engineering consulting experience. Strong experience designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, municipal, or infrastructure projects. Experience with power distribution systems, generators, ATS equipment, switchgear, transformers, and fire alarm systems. Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and applicable building codes. Experience reviewing engineering deliverables and mentoring junior staff. Proficiency with AutoCAD.

Preferred: Industrial or Water/wastewater project experience. SCADA, PLC, controls, or instrumentation experience. Electrical modeling software such as SKM, ETAP, or Easy Power.
