Transfer Center Scheduler, EMS

What You'll Do: Coordinates appropriate and timely transportation requests. Accurately confirms, maintains, and monitors patients' transfer and/or discharge. Pre-registers transfer patients completely and accurately in the EPIC and StatCall software. Coordinates with Bed Management and Ambulance Communication for timely transfer, appropriate bed assignment or discharging of patient. Documents and records ambulance arrival times into StatCall software. Facilitates routine, non-clinical transportation requests such as, lab work, records, surgical trays, etc. Develops and maintains good customer relations skills consistent with the department's guidelines.

Qualifications: What You'll BringHigh school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in patient registration and/or scheduling required. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Excellent customer service skills required. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills. Professional telephone etiquette required. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to present information clearly and effectively in one-on-one and small group settings. Knowledge of EPIC and StatCall software preferred.
