We are tasked with staffing the San Juan VA Medical Center (SJVAMC) with one (1) onsite FTE, Board Certified Clinical Perfusionist. San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a vibrant city rich in history, culture, and stunning attractions, including historic forts, colorful streets, and beautiful beaches. The attractions offer a mix of history, culture, and natural beauty, making San Juan PR a vibrant and diverse destination for visitors.
Requirements:
- Performed a minimum of 1000 clinical cases
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Must be within 30 minutes of the facility
- Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Education Program School of Perfusion TechnologyABCP Certification and current on all continuing education requirements
- Assist the Cardio-Thoracic service with by-pass surgical cases and various types of valve replacements
- Perfusionists responsibilities include viewing the patient record prior to the surgery to review the surgeon's plan of care
- Other services include preparation, operation and maintenance of the heart and lung machines/pump, auto transfusion pump, intra-aortic balloon pump and centrifugal ventricular assist device
