Electrical Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of electrical installation and infrastructure projects from initial planning through to completion. This role will involve managing multiple projects, coordinating internal teams and specialist contractors, and ensuring that all work is delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors, maintaining clear communication throughout each project lifecycle. Key responsibilities will include preparing project programmes, budgets, procurement schedules, risk assessments, method statements, and progress reports. You will oversee design coordination, material procurement, site mobilisation, installation activities, testing, commissioning, and final handover. The role will require effective management of project resources, monitoring costs and variations, reviewing subcontractor performance, and resolving technical or operational issues promptly. You will also ensure that projects comply with relevant electrical standards, building regulations, health and safety requirements, quality procedures, and environmental obligations. Applicants should have proven experience managing electrical construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects, ideally from a main contractor, specialist contractor, or consultancy environment. A relevant electrical engineering or construction qualification is preferred, together with strong knowledge of electrical systems, project controls, contract administration, and health and safety practices. Excellent organisational, commercial, negotiation, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage competing priorities and lead teams in a demanding environment. Professional registration or recognised project management certification would be advantageous. A proactive, practical approach and strong attention to detail will be important in achieving high-quality results and maintaining positive client relationships.
