Unit Staffing Description: Secretary on day shift only; no techs available. Equipment and DocumentationType of Equipment: Monica Novii, Ambulatory (Telemetry) Monitors, GE EFM Documentation System: Meditech, Centricity Scheduling and PoliciesScheduling Requirements: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week Floating Policy: MB/Postpartum Weekend Shift Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule Huddle Time: Ready for huddle at 6:45 AM Patient Experience RequirementsAIDET Courtesy and respect CertificationsBLS ACLS AWHONN Intermediate FM or C-EFM NRP Skill Set RequirementsIV insertion Lab draws Knowledge of JADA and BAKRI Blood administration Nitrous administration Experience with vaginal exams Setting up delivery tables for vaginal deliveries Essential QualificationsLabor and delivery experience Strip interpretation skills Knowledge of common OB medications Experience as a circulator in C-section surgeries PACU recovery experience for spinal anesthesia Antepartum triage knowledge Understanding of common complications and treatments for obstetrical complaints Assistance with epidural placement Teamwork approach to patient care Advanced Skills NeededProcedures performed on unit include: External Cephalic Version (ECV) C-sections Vaginal deliveries Assistance with vacuum or forceps as needed Epidural placement Dress CodeHospital provided scrubs (wear appropriate clothing to the hospital and change upon arrival and departure).
