Job Description: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Able to perform all essential Asst. Supt./Project Engineer job responsibilitiesAttend and participate in Safety Training Program and enforce safety proceduresVerify subcontractor certificates of insurancePrepare and maintain responsibility for CPM job scheduleDevelop Owner and Architect's confidenceRecruit, organize, train, direct and coordinate field construction team including subcontractor's direct hire workAssure work quality - set standards for quality controlOrder materials and tools and plan supply allotment to avoid "crisis" buyingPrepare necessary reports (e.g. time sheets, work orders, daily reports and invoice approval) Document and complete all punchlists in a timely mannerReview all drawings, specifications and subcontractor submittalsChair or attend pre-job conference, regular subcontractor meetingsPerform start-up testing and turnover to OwnerDocument final close-out and Owner's acceptancePerform manual work only in rare circumstances when, in employee's independent judgment, exigent circumstances require itAbility to travel as required by managementAbility to supervise multiple projects over a large geographic area as required by managementComplete other responsibilities as assigned MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: * Must have project experience working on K-14 (DSA) Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent experience (4 years as Assistant Superintendent) Extensive field construction experience at supervisory levelCurrent Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) Certification, or achievement of STS Certification within six months of hire, maintenance of active certification statusWorking knowledge of all crafts (ability to read and understand specifications for all trades), and prior experience as foreman or journeyman in at least one trade, or project engineerKnowledge of OSHA lawsKnowledge of job scheduling, planning, expediting and cost controlAbility in problem-solvingStrong sense of urgency SUMMARY OF BENEFITS:This role is eligible for the following benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company matching, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), individual stock ownership, paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, bereavement leave, employee assistance program, pre-tax flexible spending accounts, basic term life insurance and AD&D, business travel accident insurance, short and long term disability, financial wellness coaching, educational assistance, Care.com membership, ClassPass fitness membership, and DashPass delivery membership.
