Controller | Pompano Beach, FL | OnsiteA growing South Florida manufacturing company is looking for an Operations Controller to become a key financial and operational partner to its leadership team. This is an excellent next step for an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Plant Accounting Manager, or similar finance professional who is ready to move beyond reporting and take broader ownership of a business. You’ll have visibility into the entire operation—from cost accounting and margins to pricing, purchasing, inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L performance—while working directly with the General Manager and senior ownership. This is a hands-on, highly visible role where finance is embedded in the operation—not sitting on the sidelines. You’ll have the opportunity to influence decisions around pricing, production, sourcing, staffing, and profitability. What You’ll Own Cost accounting, standard/job costing, and product-level margin analysis Full P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Pricing analysis and recommendations based on costs and margin targets Purchasing, vendor negotiations, receiving, and inventory management Financial modeling and cost-to-build analysis Key operating metrics including gross margin, cost per unit, and inventory turns Partnership with production and operations to identify cost savings and improve profitability Leadership of purchasing, receiving, and inventory/logistics functions What We’re Looking For 7+ years of progressive Accounting/Finance experience Strong manufacturing, cost accounting, or product costing experience Experience with standard costing and/or job costing Exposure to P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting Strong Excel and financial modeling skills Experience working with ERP and inventory systems Purchasing/procurement, vendor management, or inventory exposure strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus If you’re currently an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller and feel ready for more ownership, this role offers the opportunity to step into a true Controller-level seat with direct leadership exposure, operational influence, team responsibility, and ownership of financial performance.
