Hospitalist Program Program Overview
Location: Bridgeport, WVEstablished hospitalist team currently at 11 FTE physicians
Expansion planned to 1213 physicians due to growth300-bed regional hospitalEMR: EPICCredentialing: 45 days Will need a West Virginia License- if you do not currently hold a West Virginia Medical license (we can assist with that process)IMLC certifications are acceptable Here is the link for you to apply for a IMLC certification. This certification will allow you to obtain a WV medical license within days. & Model12 hour shifts Days and a rotation of Nights per month Medical Director works closely with physicians to build flexible schedules, No fixed 7-on / 7-off rotation Clinical Environment Start the day with 112 patients- a max of approx.17 total patients daily per Provider per day Admissions handled round-robin along with APP coverage assistance One hospitalist manages transfers from 4 surrounding hospitals Open ICUICU cases primarily pulmonary (COPD, respiratory illness) Strong pulmonary consult team
Candidate Profile:
  • Internal Medicine preferred
  • Strong Family Medicine physicians will be considered, especially with procedural experience
  • Preference for seasoned physicians comfortable in higher-acuity settings
  • Ideal candidates include physicians who originally pursued Pulm/CC but did not match fellowship
  • CompensationVery Competitive Pay- Base $367,200.00 plus benefits.
  • If you work over 15 shifts per month you will receive an additional compensation per each additional shift! This a huge opportunity to make additional incomethis is a Permanent position, and you most sign a 1 year agreement with the Hospital.
