TempExperts is partnering with a highly respected national law firm to hire an experienced Commercial Transaction / Real Estate Paralegal. You'll give advanced support to attorneys on complex commercial and residential real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development projects and multi-property deals. What you'll be doing:
- Managing closing checklists, binders, escrow instructions and transaction timelines
- Running and analyzing tract, ownership, judgment, tax lien and UCC searches, and resolving discrepancies
- Reviewing title commitments, surveys, policies, legal descriptions and endorsements, and clearing complex title issues with title officers
- Gathering entity documents, tax bills, redemption estimates and jurisdiction-specific compliance materials
- Drafting and reviewing mortgages, assignments, loan agreements, amendments, estoppels and other financing documents
- Preparing title objection letters and coordinating with title companies, lenders and opposing counsel
- Reviewing zoning applications, land-use materials and due diligence reports, and flagging issues for attorneys
- Coordinating closings from start to finish, including escrow disbursements, recording, policy issuance and post-closing follow-upWhat you bring
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate (required)5–7 years of commercial real estate and transactional paralegal experience in a law firm
- An advanced understanding of title, escrow, survey, financing and closing processes
- The ability to interpret complex legal descriptions, leases, contracts and development documents
- A track record of managing large, multi-party transactions on tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organization and accuracy, and a knack for anticipating what attorneys and clients need
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with title platforms, closing software and document management systems (preferred)
