TradeSTAR is recruiting Entry-Level Low Voltage Helpers for client opportunities throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. No previous low-voltage experience is required. We're looking for dependable, motivated people who enjoy hands-on work and want an opportunity to learn a skilled trade. You'll work alongside experienced technicians on commercial construction projects while developing practical skills in structured cabling, security, fire alarm, fiber optics, audio-visual systems, and other building technologies. What Does a Low Voltage Helper Do? Low-voltage technicians install many of the technology systems found inside modern commercial buildings. As a Helper, you'll learn the trade from the ground up while assisting experienced technicians in the field. Depending on the project, you may: Pull, route, organize, and label low-voltage cabling Assist with Cat 6 and other voice and data cabling installations Support fiber optic cable installation Install cable supports, pathways, and related hardware Assist with access control and security system installations Support fire alarm and life safety projects Assist with commercial audio-visual installations Mount devices, equipment, racks, and support hardware Learn how to read construction drawings and installation documents Use common hand tools and jobsite equipment safely Learn professional installation techniques from experienced technicians Projects may take you into data centers, schools, offices, healthcare facilities, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, entertainment venues, and other commercial facilities throughout North Texas. You Don't Need Experience to Get Started We're looking for people who are ready to learn and willing to put in the work. You may be a good fit if you: Enjoy working with your hands Are interested in technology, construction, or the skilled trades Show up on time and ready to work Can follow instructions and work effectively with a crew Are comfortable working in active commercial construction environments Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Can travel to jobsites throughout the DFW Metroplex Want to develop skills you can continue building throughout your career Experience in construction, electrical, HVAC, mechanical work, warehouses, manufacturing, military service, automotive work, or other hands-on environments is a plus, but previous low-voltage experience is not required. Start as a Helper. Build From There. A Helper position can be your first step into the low-voltage industry. As you gain hands-on experience and technical skills, you can work toward opportunities at the Level I, Level II, and Level III Technician levels. With additional experience, the career path can continue into positions such as Lead Technician, Foreman, Superintendent, and Project Manager. This is an opportunity to learn a trade while gaining real commercial jobsite experience.
