Tool and Die Maker

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Strong understanding of slip and press fit relationships. Repair Header tools and make complete header tool components. Work with carbide, hardened tool steels, dies and cutting tools to close tolerance. Work with mills, lathes, surface grinders, hones, and fixtures. Use shop math as required. Clean and maintain the work area. Skills and Formal Training Requirements/Experience Shop math Must be able to read blueprints. Use measuring instruments (i.e., micrometers, calipers, comparators).Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a tool maker for a manufacturing facility.
