Community Board For Police Accountability (CBPA) Clerk The Office of Community Police Accountability (OCPA) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and community-focused individual to serve as the Community Board for Police Accountability (CBPA) Clerk. This new position plays a critical role in supporting the operationalization of the City's police accountability oversight system and ensuring the integrity, transparency, and accessibility of CBPA public meetings and official actions. The CBPA Clerk is responsible for administering all aspects of CBPA meetings, managing official records, ensuring compliance with City Charter and Code requirements, and serving as a subject matter expert on CBPA procedures for board members, staff, and the public. This position is public-facing and regularly interacts with board members, City staff, media representatives, and community members. Accurate execution of this work is essential to preserving public trust, supporting the Board's governing authority, and maintaining the legality and legitimacy of CBPA decisions. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate how their education, training, and experience meet each of the minimum qualifications listed below: Experience supporting public meetings, administrative processes, legal or procedural workflows, or similar structured operational environments. Experience providing customer service to diverse stakeholders, including members of the public, staff, and officials. Experience interpreting, applying, or following rules, procedures, policies, regulations, or legal requirements. Ability to manage deadlines, maintain accurate records, and balance multiple tasks in fast-paced or dynamic settings. Ability to work collaboratively with staff across departments and maintain effective working relationships. Proficiency with office software, document management tools, and basic meeting or presentation technology. Applicants must also possess the ability to obtain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification issued by the Oregon State Police within six months of start date. Preferred qualifications include at least 5 years of professional and responsible related work experience AND a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or closely related field.
