ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Delivers superior guest service and ensures absolute customer satisfaction Adds new items to department as requested Organizes and effectively supervises daily/weekly work plan based on budgeted sales and profit Aggressively pursues sales by planning and effectively executes merchandising and daily operational plans Quality assurance checks of department Proper handling and rotation of product Responsible for budgeted sales, gross profit, labor and CTO. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises 1-2 Associates Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Training Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work. Appraising performance; rewarding and coaching Associates. Addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) One to three months related experience and/or training Equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of manager, customers, and associates MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with Supermarket math concepts such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages, distribution, penetration, gross profit, and Sales Per Associate Hour.
