Job Description Job Description Position Overview Supporting a local transportation company, the Heavy Vehicle Service Technician will diagnose and repair diesel and Class A vehicles, focusing on engines, hydraulics, and transmissions. The company has many long-term employees. They value community, safety and quality service, while offering a relaxed and friendly team of self-motivated individuals. This role is Monday-Friday during normal business hours. There may be potential for a part-time option. Saturdays are optional and availability will be dependent upon business needs.
Responsibilities: Diagnose, inspect, service, and perform maintenance on heavy-duty trucks. Perform preventative maintenance, inspecting for road-worthiness and safety issues. Work with diesel engines. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to turbos, injectors, and radiators. Research and order parts with appropriate approvals. Perform maintenance on trailers, as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Report damages or faulty equipment to management. Additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent.2+ years' experience working with heavy duty vehicles is required. A Commercial Inspection license is preferred. Maintain excellent communication skills & be able to work independently. Ability to work overtime if required.
